B/flat G.Renzel Clarinet owned by Pete Fountain Jazz Great ([phone removed] in New Orleans, LA

I have a clarinet that belonged to Pete Fountain.( It's old--from the 1800's-- ) I tried contacting him to see if he was interested in reacquiring it to no avail.. So I am interested in selling it..I've owned it since the 1960's After he quit the Welk Orchestra. I am open to a serious offer on it. How do I know it was Pete's? The mouth-piece is Glass and has his name inscribed on it. Also, the musician that taught me lessons had played with Pete and had bought it from Pete when he was having hard times. I still play, but I'm now on hard times and I'm getting old. The Instrument needs a good cleaning and it needs to be re-corked. It would also need to be re-padded. But You would have not only 1 of the sweetest sounding horns around, But You would also have a piece of History and an instrument played by 1 of the greatest Jazz musicians alive. I heard Pete lost everything in Katrina I also heard his health ain't the greatest. But I also heard that he plays at a club called "THE MAXX" I heard a lady by the name of Briget manages the club. I also heard the club is in a place called Metarie.. You know how old musicians are they are in a fraternity all their own and they know these things. I wasn't sure if if I was accurate about who owned this before me but I saw a couple of old pics with him playing my horn with that distinctive mouthpiece.. Some body get hold of him and tell him bout me.! They call me McBlues I'm a Harmonica Man..I still play and love the Blues and I hate to see this Clarinet unused and unappreciated..I tried contacting Pete's Booking Agent and so far they haven't responded either??. Gotta Go! This Is The Real Deal!! CallMe!! MAC Or Have Pete Call Me!! Maybe the City Will Want It??Listing originally posted at http
